Alyson served as Executive Director of the NPA for five years, including the two years I served as Chair. Throughout her tenure, Alyson displayed remarkable professionalism, ingenuity, and determination during a very fragile period in our organization’s development. Alyson’s accomplishments are remarkable, given the limited budget, miniscule staff, and ambitious goals set by a board whose members worked all over the country. It was always a pleasure to work with Alyson, and though I was her supervisor, she taught me more about running an organization than I could ever thank her for.
